Our Approach
We commit to our core mission based on a three-pronged strategy, i.e.:
(1) the proactive;
(2) the reactive; and
(3) the hybrid approach.
Our Proactive Approach
We customize proactive LifeDesign programs to guide our clients to “know yourself”. This proactive approach focuses on designing, developing and nurturing self-efficacy for individuals to unleash latent potential, to pursue intrinsic interest and to embrace their personalities.
Our Reactive Approach
The reactive approach is by no means passive in nature. In this approach, we respond and accommodate to the clients’ mental health challenges and needs by providing effective and applicable psychotherapies and counselling processes. We apply lifespan and developmental relevant modalities in an integrative and tailor-made manner which means drawing on and blending specific types of techniques such as play & arts therapies, mindfulness therapies, cognitive behavioural therapies, psychodynamic therapies, assessments & tests, couples and family counselling, and others.
Our Hybrid Approach
We believe that beyond independent, standalone strategies, the proactive and reactive approaches are tactically complementary to each other. The hybrid approach refers to starting a client engagement process with proactive approach and supplement by the reactive one, or vice versa.
While we advocate a fulfilling lifespan for everyone, there is a significant leveraging or foresightful effect to start planning at one’s early age. We focus on children, adolescents and young adults as the primary clients through schools, education institutes, small groups and individuals. When working with the younger generation, parents and family involvement are often essential. We position family and couples counselling as important auxiliary components in the overall LifeDesign strategy.
